Falcons Finish Seventh at UTEP Invitational

    The Air Force golf team wrapped up its fall season Saturday with a seventh-place finish at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five UTEP Invitational in El Paso, Texas. The Falcons, who were tied for fourth place after the first two rounds on Friday, shot a 302 (+14) in the final round on Saturday for a three-round total of 867 (+3).

    Senior Kyle Westmoreland led the team individually, tying for 16th place with a three-round total of two-under par 214. Westmoreland shot a team-best four-under par 68 in the final round on Saturday.  Senior Jack Howard and sophomore Matthew Dunn tied for 30th at 219 after shooting 75 and 80 on Saturday, respectively.

    Senior Philip Colwell fired an 83 on Saturday and finished tied for 47th (223), while freshman Andy Germann shot a final round 79 and tied for 64th at 227.

    The Falcons open their spring schedule on Monday, Feb. 24 at the Snowman Getaway in Goodyear, Ariz.
