The Air Force golf team finished in 11th place at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate at the Milburn Country Club in Kansas City, Mo. The Falcons, who were tied for ninth after the first two rounds on Monday, shot a 306 (+18) on Tuesday for a three-round total of 904.
Seniors Kyle Westmoreland and Philip Colwell led the team individually, tying for 24th place with a three-round total of eight-over par 224. Both players shot a two-over par 74 in the final round on Tuesday. Sophomore Matthew Dunn finished 50th at 229 (+13), while senior Jack Howard tied for 51st at 230 (+14) and junior Blake Edwards finished in a tie for 71st at 235 (+19).
The Falcons will travel to Las Cruces, N.M., for the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate beginning next Monday, Oct. 21. This tournament was not on the original schedule, but was added after the team was unable to compete at the Brickyard Championships earlier this month due to the government shutdown.
