Air Force Golfers Wrap Up Competition At Wolf Pack Classic

Reno, Nev. - Led by sophomore Tom Whitney (La Quinta, Calif.), the Air Force golf team finished 15th at the Wolf Pack Classic, hosted by Nevada at the 7,100-yard, par-72 Wolf Run Golf Course. The Falcons ended at 903 for the tournament, while team champion Arizona put together a three-round score of 850. Arizona's Tyler Neal took home medalist honors, finishing at 210 (-6). Whitney, who fired a 1-under-par 71 on Tuesday, finished just one stroke out of the lead, tying for second place at 211 (-5). Next for the Falcons was Shaun O'Bryant (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.), finishing tied for 67th place, while Aaron White (Fr., Hereford, Texas), Andrew Gibson (Jr., San Ramon, Calif.) and Jack Kasting (Fr., Jenks, Okla.) rounded out the group for Air Force. The Falcons return to action Oct. 22-23 at the Sycuan Collegiate Classic in San Diego, Calif.
