Reno, Nev. - Turning in a three-round score of 875 (+11), the Air Force golf team finished in eighth place at Nevada's Wolf Pack Classic, held at the 7,100-yard, par-72 Wolf Run Golf Course. Iowa State brought home the team title, finishing at 842 (-22), while Utah's Dustin Pimm won medalist honors with a final score of 205 (-11).

Pacing the Falcons in the tournament was senior Tyler Goulding (Tracy, Calif.), who tied for sixth place at 5-under-par (211). Goulding's three-round total was just one stroke off his personal best, and ranks tied for the eighth-lowest individual tournament score in Air Force history. Meanwhile, freshman Tom Whitney (La Quinta, Calif.) sat just two strokes behind, tying for 11th place at 213, also a top-15 score in the Falcons' record book.

Other competitors for Air Force were sophomore Andrew Gibson (San Ramon, Calif.), finishing at 228, junior Matt Tanis (Asbury, N.J.) at 230 and junior Jared Freeman (Brazil, Ind.) at 241.

The Falcons are back in action next week, Oct. 9-10, at the District 7 Shootout, hosted by Hawaii in Las Vegas, Nev.
