Falcons In 12th Place On Day One of Shootout at Angel Park

Las Vegas, Nev. - At the end of two rounds, the Air Force golf team sits in 12th place at the Shootout at Angel Park, hosted by Hawaii at the 6,722-yard, par-71 Angel Park Golf Course. The Falcons fired a 602 on Saturday, while UNLV's B team leads the pack at 565. UNLV's Sueng-su Han is the individual leader at 138 (-4). Leading Air Force on the first day of competition was sophomore Tom Whitney (La Quinta, Calif.), who is tied for 32nd place with a 6-over-par 148. Junior Andrew Gibson (San Ramon, Calif.) sits two strokes behind in a tie for 45th place, while Jack Kasting (Fr., Jenks, Okla.), who shot an even-par 71 in round two, is tied for 51st at 151. Completing the group for the Falcons is freshman Aaron White (Hereford, Texas), tied for 66th at 154, while Shaun O'Bryant (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) was disqualified in the opening round. The final round of the Shootout at Angel Park is slated to begin Sunday morning at 8:00. Day One Results
