Air Force Wraps Up Opening Day At PING Golf Cougar Classic

    Provo, Utah - With one round remaining to play, the Air Force golf team is in 19th place at the PING Golf Cougar Classic, being held at the par-72, 7,001-yard Riverside Country Club. Host BYU leads in the team standings at 550 (-26), while the Cougars' Jake Ellison sits atop the individual leaderboard at 133 (-11).

    The Falcons fired a two-round score of 600 (+24) on the first day, led by senior Tyler Goulding (Tracy, Calif.), who finished day one tied for 13th place at 141 (-3). Senior Chad Follett (El Paso, Texas) is next for Air Force at 152, while sophomore Shaun O'Bryant (Colorado Springs, Colo.) sits a stroke behind at 153.

    Also competing for the Falcons are Andrew Gibson (So., San Ramon, Calif.) and Jared Freeman (Jr., Brazil, Ind.), who sit at 158 and 160, respectively.

    The final round of the PING Golf Cougar Classic is slated to begin tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. (PT).
