The Air Force men's golf team is tied for 15th place following the first round of the 2013 Cowboy Classic, hosted by the University of Wyoming, Monday in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Falcons shot a 311 in the first round, which was slowed by howling winds, on the par-70, 7,133-yard Talking Stick North Golf Course.

Due to the length of Monday's first round, the second round, also scheduled for Monday, was cancelled. The third round will begin on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.

Senior Andrew Hoops and junior Jack Howard lead the Falcons and are tied for 27th place after each shot a six-over par 76. Junior Kyle Westmoreland is tied for 43rd place after shooting 77 on Monday, while junior Philip Colwell is tied for 94th (82) and sophomore Blake Edwards is 124th (87). Junior Todd Berglund, playing as an individual, is tied for 121st with a first-round 86.
