Falcons Finish Opening Day At Wyoming Cowboy Classic

    Scottsdale, Ariz. - At the end of the first two rounds of competition, the Air Force golf team sits in 21st place at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, being held at the par-70, 7,133-yard Talking Stick North Course. UC Davis leads in the team standings with a 6-under-par 554, while UC Santa Barbara's Joe Ryon sits atop the individual leaderboard at 133 (-7).

    The Falcons finished the first day with a team score of 592 (+34) and are currently led by senior Tyler Goulding (Tracy, Calif.). Goulding, who fired a 1-under-par 69 in the opening round, sits tied for 40th place at 144 (+4). Next for Air Force is sophomore Shaun O'Bryant (Colorado Springs, Colo.), tied for 70th at 148.

    Also competing for the Falcons are Andrew Gibson (So., San Ramon, Calif.), Jared Freeman (Jr., Brazil, Ind.) and Chad Follett (Sr., El Paso, Texas), who sit at 151, 152 and 153, respectively.

    The final round of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic is slated to begin tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. (PT).
