After a pair of disappointing rounds on Monday, the Air Force golf team rallied for a solid final round at the University of Wyoming Cowboy Classic Tuesday in Scottsdale, Ariz. The Falcons, who were in 19th place after the second round, shot a three-over par 283 and finished in 17th place with a three-round total of 877 on the par-70, 7,133-yard Talking Stick Golf Course. The University of Oklahoma won the tournament at nine-under par 831.
Individually, senior Kyle Westmoreland tied his career-low round with a four-under 66 on Tuesday. He finished in a tie for 26th place with a three-round total of four-over par 214. Freshman Sunwoo Choi tied for 54th place at nine-over par (219) after shooting a one-over 73 in the final round.
Senior Jack Howard tied for 72nd place at 224 after shooting a 72 on Tuesday, while freshman Andy Germann and senior Philip Colwell tied for 80th place at 225 after a 72 and 74, respectively. Senior Todd Berglund, playing as an individual, shot a 79 on Tuesday for a three-round total of 223, good for a tie for 68th place.
The Falcons play their final regular season tournament of the season on April 14-15 at the Gaucho Classic, hosted by UC Santa Barbara.
