Air Force Concludes Competition at Morris Williams Intercollegiate

AUSTIN, Texas - Led again by junior Tom Whitney (La Quinta, Calif.) the Air Force golf team finished 18th at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate, hosted by Texas at the par-71, 7,412-yard University of Texas Golf Club. The Falcons compiled a three-round team score of 961 for the tournament, which included eight of the top 20 teams in the nation.

Whitney posted a score of 232 for the tournament to finish tied for 47th overall. Sophomore Kyle Bailey (Austin, Texas), who fired his best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a score of 77, was next in the individual standings, tying for 80th overall at 240. Shaun O'Bryant (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.), tied for 83rd with a score of 246, while Aaron White (So., Hereford, Texas) finished a stroke behind in a tie for 88th place. Rounding out the group of Air Force competitors was Andrew Gibson (Sr., San Ramon, Calif.), who finished 93rd.

Third-ranked Oklahoma State captured the team title with a three-round score of 569, led by Morgan Hoffmann, who tied with USC's Tom Glissmeyer for first place on the individual leaderboard with a score of 212 (-1).

The Falcons have the next few weeks off before returning to action April 24-25 at the PING Cougar Classic, hosted by conference rival BYU.
