Air Force Concludes Second Day at Ron Moore Invitational

    Goodyear, Ariz. - With two rounds under wraps, the Air Force golf team sits in 16th place at the Ron Moore Invitational, hosted by Denver at the 7,015 yard, par-72 Palm Valley Golf Club. The Falcons, who shot a 2-over-par 290 in the second round, sit at 590 (+14) for the tournament.

    Pacing Air Force after two rounds is junior Shaun O'Bryant (Colorado Springs, Colo.), who fired a 4-under-par 68 on Saturday. O'Bryant is now tied for 25th overall with a score of 142 (-2). Sophomore Tom Whitney (La Quinta, Calif.) is next for the Falcons, tied for 36th with a score of 145 (+1), while senior Bob Whitney (La Quinta, Calif.) is tied for 63rd at 150.

    Rounding out the group for the Falcons are freshman Kyle Bailey (Austin, Texas) and junior Andrew Gibson (San Ramon, Calif.), tied for 73rd overall with scores of 154.

    San Diego remains atop the team leaderboard with a two-round score of 555 (-21), while Boise State's Troy Merritt leads the individuals at 131 (-13).

    The final round begins Sunday morning with an 8:00 (PT) shotgun start.
