Air Force Finishes Day One At Ron Moore Invitational

    Goodyear, Ariz. - With two rounds under wraps, the Air Force golf team currently sits in 15th place at the Ron Moore Invitational, hosted by Denver at the par-72, 7,015-yard Palm Valley Golf Club. Wichita State sits atop the team leaderboard at 552 (-28), while Boise State's Troy Merritt leads in the individual standings at 135 (-9).

    The Falcons, who turned in a score of 594 (+14) on the opening day of the tournament, are currently led by senior Tyler Goulding (Tracy, Calif.). Goulding, who fired a 67 in the second round, is tied for eighth place with a 5-under-par 139. Sophomore Shaun O'Bryant (Colorado Springs, Colo.) is next for the Falcons with a 5-over-par 149, while Andrew Gibson (So., San Ramon, Calif.) and Chad Follett (Sr., El Paso, Texas) both sit at 153 going into the final round. Also competing for the Falcons is junior Bob Whitney (La Quinta, Calif.), who ended the first day at 157.

    The final round of the Ron Moore Invitational is slated to begin tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. (PT).
