Falcons Finish 15th at Hackler Championship

    The Air Force men's golf team finished in 15th place Monday at the General Hackler Championship in Georgetown, S.C. The Falcons shot a final-round 319 to finish with a three-round total of 962 on the par-71, 7,189-yard DeBordieu Club.

    Senior Robert Belz was Air Force's top individual, finishing in a tie for 45th place with a 16-over par total of 233. He fired a team-best three-over par 74 in the final round on Tuesday. Sophomore Kyle Westmoreland finished 76th at 244, followed by junior Andrew Hoops (77th, 245), freshman Blake Edwards (T78th, 247) and sophomore Miguel Macias (83rd, 257).

    The Falcons take a week off before competing at the 2012 Desert Shootout in Goodyear, Ariz., beginning Thursday, March 22.
