Falcons Tie for 15th at USF Invitational

The Air Force golf team finished in a tie for 15th place after the third and final round of the University of South Florida Invitational in Dade City, Fla. The Falcons shot a two-under par 286 Tuesday, their only sub-par round in the three-day event.
Individually, senior Kyle Westmoreland posted another top 10 finish as he tied for seventh place after shooting his second six-under par 66 of the tournament on Tuesday. Westmoreland, who shot a nine-under par total of 207, finished in the top 10 for the fourth time this season and the 16th time in his career. He gathered an eagle and five birdies Tuesday before recording his only bogey of the day on the finishing hole.
Senior Jack Howard tied his career-low round with a five-under 67 on Tuesday and finished in a tie for 22nd at -3 (213). Howard had seven birdies, including a stretch of five in six holes, before double-bogeying the 8th (his 17th hole of the day). Senior Philip Colwell tied for 73rd after his second straight 75 while seniors Todd Berglund and Miguel Macias tied for 88th place.
The Falcons return to action on Friday, March 14 at the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas.
