Air Force Tied for 11th Place at UTSA Intercollegiate

    San Antonio, Texas - Following the completion of two rounds, the Air Force golf team is tied for 11th place at the UTSA Intercollegiate, being held at the 6,765 yard, par-71 Oak Hills Country Club. The Falcons are currently 36-over-par with a two-round score of 604.

    Pacing the Falcons on day one of the tournament is senior Bob Whitney (La Quinta, Calif.), who is tied for 18th overall with a 4-over-par 146. Brother Tom Whitney is next for Air Force, tied for 42nd at 151, while freshman Kyle Bailey (Austin, Texas) sits a stroke behind in a tie for 51st place.

    Rounding out the group for the Falcons are juniors Shaun O'Bryant (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Andrew Gibson (San Ramon, Calif.). O'Bryant currently sits in a tie for 60th place at 155, while Gibson is tied for 71st at 158. Sitting atop the team standings after two rounds is Mississippi State at 567, led by Noah Goldman, who sits at 5-under-par.

    The tournament will conclude tomorrow, with the final round beginning with an 8:00 a.m. (CT) shotgun start.
