Oct. 6, 2009
Air Force takes on No. 10/9 TCU this Saturday, Oct. 10, at 5:35 p.m. in Falcon Stadium. Air Force is playing a nationally ranked team for the first time this season. The Falcons are 14-64-4 all-time vs. nationally ranked teams. Air Force has lost 11 consecutive games to ranked teams dating back to a 23-21 win at California on Sept. 21, 2002.
TCU leads the series 5-2-1 overall. The Falcons defeated TCU, 20-17, in overtime in 2007 the last time the teams played at the Academy. TCU won last year's meeting, 44-10, in Fort Worth.
Air Force head coach Troy Calhoun discussed the game and Air Force's season at his weekly teleconference this week at the Air Force Academy.
