COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Air Force linebacker Andre Morris, Jr. was named Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 19. Morris joins UNLV quarterback Omar Clayton and Colorado State kicker Pete Kontodiakos who earned MWC Offensive and Special Teams players of the week respectively. Clayton collects his second career player of the week honor, while Morris and Kontodiakos each claim their first.

Morris recorded seven total tackles, including four solo stops and a career-high two sacks for a total loss of 11 yards in Air Force's 37-13 MWC season-opening win at New Mexico. Three of the junior linebacker's seven tackles, including one of the sacks, came on third down, forcing the Lobos to punt. The Newnan, Ga., native's two sacks are the most by a Falcon this season in a single game.
