GAME FACTS: Air Force takes on Utah State in the Mountain West opener for both schools ... The Falcons are conference-best 11-3 in conference openers, but have lost two straight ... COACHES: Air Force is coached by Troy Calhoun (Air Force, 1989), who is in his seventh season. He has led the Falcons to 48-31 career record. Calhoun is 29-18 in MW games, 19-13 in non-conference games, 29-9 in Falcon Stadium, 15-17 in road games (12-10 in MW road games) and 2-4 in bowl games. Utah State is coached by Matt Wells (Utah State, 1996), who is in his first season. He has guided his alma mater to a 0-1 record. Wells is in his third season at the school overall.
