As shown in pictures, the below-grade plumbing lines are being laid into both the new addition as well as the reconfigured existing locker room space. Vertical waterproofing is underway to seal the joints at the base and between precast concrete wall panels. Once waterproofing is complete in the coming weeks, backfill around the exterior can commence.
Renderings expected within the next week of the main locker room showing the Longhorn locker design and two options for the AF logo carpet inlay.
The Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation (AFAAC) has contracted with Longhorn Lockers for all lockers (players, coaches, multi-purpose metal) and training room furniture. AFAAC & athletic department representatives will travel to the plant in May to review/approve the mock-up before full production is underway.
The project is the first major renovation of the stadium since the late 1980s and early 1990s. The project is multi-blended with a mix of private and government funds.
