The boxing team travels to New York City to compete in the New York Athletic Club Collegiate Boxing Invitational on Monday, 19 November.

This annual event marks the start of the collegiate boxing season. All of the boxers on the card were previously involved in the National Championships. This is truly an All-Star event that receives great support from the NYAC. NYAC members attend and the standing room only crowd is very vocal. Last year Bernadette Peteres, Liam Nelsen, and Russell Crow attended.

"These bouts provide a great learning experience for our boxers," said head coach Eddie Weichers, Jr. "They get to compete and see some of the Big Apple. This year we will visit the Statue of Liberty and of course, Ground Zero."

Representing the Falcon boxing team are four seniors--Adam Roberts (125-lbs), Vaughn Brazil (142-lbs), Joe Harding (175-lbs) and team captain Dustin Brown (195-lbs).
