USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Six members of the Air Force boxing team will travel to Detroit, Mich., for the annual Service Academy Classic on Friday, Oct. 23. Members of the three major service academies - Air Force, Army and Navy - will step into the ring at the historic Detroit Athletic Club. Action is slated to begin at 8 p.m. (EST).

Air Force is in the blue corner for the first match of the night, as junior Matthew DeMars faces off with Army's Terry Nell in a 122-pound bout. Following a 140-pound bout between Army's Jevon Thomas and Navy's Paul Hollwedel, junior Michael Mizes will step into the ring with Navy's Trae Miller for a 135-pound contest. Classmate Michael Dunn will face off with Army's Paul Bryant at 154 pounds.

The night's card features two bouts in the 158-pound weight class. Army's James Brousseau takes on Navy's Fabian Pleasant in the first bout at that weight division, while sophomore Tyrus Korecki will battle Army's Denote Dawson in the other.

The Falcons will be in corner for two of the final three contests, beginning with sophomore Nick Cataldo's 171-pound matchup with Navy's Jake Tenorio. Following a bout between Army's Seth King and Navy's Mike Steadman at 188 pounds, junior Mike Chambers closes out the night in a heavyweight contest with Navy's Nathan Gester.

This will be the first match of the season for Dunn and Chambers, while the other four saw action during the Oct. 9 round of Friday Night Fights.
