Boxing Team Begins Quest For Sixth Straight Title

Air Force's quest for a six straight National Collegiate Boxing Association title begins Thursday at Reno, NV with the start of regional competition in the ballroom of the Silver Legacy Casino and Resort.

The eleven boxers that won in the Wing Open Championships two weeks ago made the trip to Reno Monday ahead of a winter storm that hit the Pikes Peak region.

Falcon boxers will compete against boxers from UNLV, University of California-Berekley, Nevada, San Jose State and Arizona State. The competition ends Saturday with finals. The top two boxers in each weight class advance to the national competiton at UNLV beginning April 3.
