Blake Baldi Earns Decision in Regional Quarterfinals


    Reno, Nev. -- The National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) West Regionals opened with just one bout featuring a member of the Air Force boxing team, but senior Blake Baldi (Metamora, Ill.) got the Falcons off on the right foot.

    Baldi earned a decision in the 147-pound weight class over Joey Massa of UNLV in the quarterfinals of the West Regionals at the El Dorado Hotel in Reno, Nev., to advance to the semifinals. The rest of the Falcons will also compete in the semifinal round of action on Friday, March 18.
