LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The date of the National Collegiate Boxing Association's Western Regional Championships has been changed. Regional action will now take place on March 29-31, one week later than originally scheduled. The three-day competition will remain in Las Vegas, Nev., on the campus of UNLV.

The Falcons, who have won 26 of the last 27 NCBA regional titles, look to regain control of the West. In 2006, Air Force collected two gold, six silver and four bronze medals, but finished second to UNLV, which went on to earn its first national title.

The top-two contenders from each regional site, as well as several at-large competitors, will advance to the NCBA National Championships, which will be held April 12-14 at the El Dorado Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nev.

To date, Air Force has won 18 of the last 27 national team championships, and boasts a history of 96 national champions and 258 All-Americans.
