NCBA Championships to Be Included in CSTV Showcase


    USAF ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Air Force Academy boxing team will look to add to its collection of national titles at the 2006 National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) Championships, which has been scheduled for April 6-8 at the El Dorado Hotel in Reno, Nev.

    The Falcons, who have claimed 18 of the last 26 national titles, while earning silver medal team honors during the remaining eight seasons.

    In addition, the NCBA Championships will be featured as a part of the inaugural CSTV Collegiate Nationals, which will be sponsored by College Sports Television and Xbox 360. The event will feature over 2,000 college athletes competing in numerous non-traditional, high-endurance events, such as snowboarding, wakeboarding, kayaking, boxing, triathlon and beach volleyball.

    Air Force is still awaiting word on the date for the regional championships, which are currently slated to be held at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nev.
