USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force boxing team closed out the fall semester on Dec. 6 with five rounds of Friday Night Fights in the Cadet Gym Boxing Room. All five bouts, which ranged from 130 to 190 pounds, were sent to the judges for decision, while Jordan Cox earned the staff's Boxer of the Week award.

Competing in just his second match of the year, Cox claimed a victory over Matt Medara in the 150-pound contest. Like Cox, two other newcomers earned their first win in a Friday Night Fight matchup. Laurynas Galdikas defeated Javaughn Batrip in the 190-pound bout, while Eric Wermuth won his debut over Kaleb Rockwell at 170 pounds.

Following the holiday break, Air Force returns to action on Jan. 10 with a round of Friday Night Fights.
