Fresh Faces Highlight Air Force Debut of Friday Night Fights

Derek Demyanek was named the Academy's Boxer of the Week.

2011: Wing Open semifinalist at 132 pounds...2010: Did not compete on the varsity team, but participated in intramurals...2009: Did not compete on the varsity team, but participated in intramurals.

HIGH SCHOOL: LaGrange High School...four-time varsity letterwinner in wrestling...served as team co-captain...two-time Academic Wrestling Award winner...finished third at the Georgia Games wrestling tournament...is a first degree black belt in Ho-Am Taekwondo...4.0 Magna Cum Laude...AP Scholar with Distinction...served as Senior Class President...named Mr. LaGrange High School...three-time GaETC state champion in technology literacy and web design...finished third at the GHSA state literacy meet AAA Boys Extemporaneous Speech.
