2012: Wing Open finalist at 165 pounds...earned the Academy's Boxer of the Week award twice...first claimed the honor following the Jan. 13 round of Friday Night Fights...repeated the award after the Wing Open quarterfinals...collected a 3-2 record during the regular season...2011: Wing Open semifinalist at 175 pounds...competed in one bout during Friday Night Fights...2010: Member of the Air Force soccer team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Pine Creek High School...two-year varsity letterwinner in soccer...defensive MVP as a senior...served as team captain during senior year...named to the Principal Honor Roll all four years...Flight of the Eagles award recipient...member of the National Honor Society...served as NHS President...also a member of the French National Honor Society and the English National Honor Society...served as president of the Student Body.

PERSONAL: Full name is Christopher George Nelson...son of George and Sherri Nelson...father is an Academy graduate and retired Air Force...has one older sister, Laura...also has younger twin sisters, Sarah and Mary Kate...majoring in American history...future plans include becoming a pilot...currently serving as Director of Athletics for squadron...named to the Commandant's List for excellence in military performance...also named to the Dean's List (academic performance) and Athletic Director's List (athletic performance)...earned the Excellence in History award...hobbies include cooking, hiking and reading...close to fluent in French...spent the summer traveling to various World War II sites throughout the United Kingdom and France with WWII veterans...also worked as an instructor during Expeditionary Survival and Evasion Training (ESET) and completed a summer astronautical engineering course...has six uncles who are graduates of the Air Force Academy...also has one grandfather who is a graduate of West Point and retired Air Force/Army...would like to add that "none of my achievements could have been possible without the love and support of my family, especially my wonderful mother"...member of Cadet Squadron 13.
