Former Air Force basketball player Antoine Hood signed a contract with the San Antonio Spurs on Dec. 10 and is currently in training camp with the team. Hood, a captain in the Air Force reserves, was a member of the Denver Nuggets during training camp in 2006 and appeared in three preseason games that year.

"I am excited to be back in the NBA with the Spurs," said Hood. "Not too many people get an opportunity to fulfill their dreams like this and I am going to try and make the most of it. With God all things are possible, and never give up on your dreams!"

Hood is ranked eighth on AFA's career scoring list with 1,307 points and was a first-team all-Mountain West selection his senior year in 2005-06 after leading the Falcons to the NCAA Tournament.

He saw action with Nova Hut Ostrava in the Czech Republic in 2009-10, where he averaged 16.8 points and 3.9 rebounds while shooting .594 from the field in 11 games.

UPDATE** -- Hood appeared in the team's first preseason game, scoring one point in three minutes at Houston on Dec. 17, then was waived by the team on Dec. 18.
