Lawrence Hill added 18 points as the Cardinal (3-0) beat the Falcons for just the second time in their past five meetings. Josh Owens added 14 points.
Anwar Johnson scored a career-high 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field for Air Force (3-2) in its first road game of the season. Matt Holland added 11 points and Grant Parker scored eight.
Stanford made nine of its first 13 shots, including seven straight, and turned seven Falcons' turnovers into 16 points en route to a 24-6 lead after a three-pointer by Drew Shiller with 13 minutes left in the first half.
Air Force battled back and cut the lead to 11 at 34-23 after a three-pointer by Derek Brooks and a layup by Johnson. Stanford answered with a 17-6 run to close the half and take a 51-29 lead at the break. The 51 points allowed by Air Force were the most in one half by an opponent since Utah scored 54 in the second half on Jan. 16, 2007.
The Falcons opened the second half with a 9-2 run, sparked by five points from Holland, and Johnson's first three-pointer of the season made it 55-41 with 15 minutes remaining, but Air Force could get no closer the rest of the way.
Stanford forced the Falcons to commit a season-high 20 turnovers and outrebounded Air Force 31-26. The Cardinal also shot a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line.

    Up Next
The Falcons host Northern Illinois on Wednesday, Dec. 3 beginning at 7 p.m.

    Nearly Unbeatable at Clune
Despite their loss to Wofford last Sunday, the Falcons have been close to unbeatable at Clune Arena the last five seasons. Since the beginning of the 2003-04 season, Air Force has won 71 of its 78 home games, including 36 of its 38 non-conference games.
In addition, the Falcons have won 35 of their 40 Mountain West Conference games at Clune Arena during that stretch.

Henke No. 3 in Three-Point Pct.
Senior Andrew Henke is No. 3 on Air Force's career list for three-point percentage at 42.2 percent. He is 11-of-22 (50%) this season despite going 0-for-3 at Stanford on Wednesday.

    Falcons Picked 7th in MWC
Air Force was picked seventh in the 2008-09 preseason media poll released at the Mountain West Conference media day in Las Vegas, Nev., on Oct. 14.

    5. New Mexico - 132
    6. Wyoming - 75

    Stewart Makes Immediate Impact ...
Freshman Taylor Stewart became the first Air Force freshman to record a double-double since 2000 when he scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against CSU Bakersfield on Nov. 16. Tom Bellairs was the last freshman to have a double-double in his first season at Air Force and he had eight of them during the 1999-2000 campaign.
Stewart is also the first Falcon freshman to score in double figures in his first three collegiate games since David Schuck during the 1997-98 campaign.

    ... So Does Noonan
Freshman Trevor Noonan was also very impressive against CSU Bakersfield. After playing just two minutes in the season-opener against Western State, Noonan broke out with eight points and a team season-high five assists in 17 minutes against the Roadrunners.

    Holland Huge vs. UCCS
Senior Matt Holland had a huge game vs. UCCS on the first day of the Reggie Minton Air Force Classic. Holland posted career-highs of 22 points and nine rebounds in the Falcons' 86-65 victory over the Mountain Lions. He followed that game with a 13-point, four-rebound performance against Wofford to earn a place on the all-Classic team.

    Three-Point Streak
Air Force has made a three-point shot in 485 consecutive games. The last time the Falcons failed to make a three-pointer was Dec. 4, 1991 in a 57-51 victory over Adams State College.

    Parker Sets Another New Career-High
Junior Grant Parker set a new career-high with 15 points against Wofford on Sunday. Earlier this year, he had a career-best nine rebounds against CSU Bakersfield. Parker, whose career-bests entering the season were nine points (vs. Colorado College in 2006) and four rebounds (vs. Prairie View A&M in 2007), is averaging 8.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game this year.

Last Time vs. Norfolk State (12/13/07)
Tim Anderson scored 19 points, and Air Force overcame a lackluster first-half shooting performance to defeat Norfolk State 65-53 Thursday night. Leading 20-17 after the initial 20 minutes, Air Force began pulling away early in the second half. Anderson and Evan Washington hit consecutive 3-pointers to give the Falcons a 12-point lead, and Anwar Johnson extended that to 13 with a free throw. Norfolk State cut the margin to seven behind 3-pointers by Jeremy Banks and Raphael Hall, but the Spartans could get no closer. Though Norfolk State began finding the mark later in the half, Air Force scored 14 points on free throws down the stretch to maintain a double-digit margin. Johnson finished with 12 points, Washington had 11 and Keith Maren was in double figures for Air Force with 10.
