    Falcons Open With Second Annual All-Military Classic
    The Air Force men's basketball team opens its 2012-13 season with the second annual All-Military Classic, Nov. 10-11 at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. The Falcons will play service-academy rival Army on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. (ET), followed by VMI and Citadel at 4 p.m. The third-place game is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, followed by the championship game.

    This is the second of the four-year deal for the tournament, with each school hosting once. Air Force hosted the first tournament last season, VMI will host in `13 and Army in `14. The tournament will be played each year during Veteran's Day weekend.

    Air Force won the title last year, defeating VMI 75-65 in the final.

    Getting Started
    This season marks the 57th year of varsity basketball for Air Force. This is Air Force's 14th season in the Mountain West. AFA was a member of the Western Athletic Conference for 19 years before joining the MW in 1999.

    Season Openers
    Air Force is 26-30 all-time in season openers. The Falcons are 20-8 at home and 6-22 on the road (including neutral games). Last season, the Falcons opened with an 87-71 victory over Army at home in the first round of the All-Military Classic. Air Force has won its last nine season openers and 11 home openers.
