Air Force Men’s Basketball Players helping in the community
July 31, 2017

The Air Force men’s basketball team continued its year-long community service recently. Six Falcons on the team volunteered at a K-11th grade summer camp held at the Air Force Academy base community gymnasium July 25. Kobi Betts, Garett Scheer, Lavelle Scottie, CJ Siples, Ryan Swan and Frank Toohey took time out from their military training to help with about 50 dependent children of active duty military members of the Academy. The players led the youth in numerous activities including arts and crafts, and also participated in several sport-driven competitions with the youth.

This is the latest in several community service events the team has participated in this season. Team members have given youth clinics on base, participated in the Dream to Read program in the Colorado Springs community and helped at the Marian House Soup Kitchen on Easter Sunday.
