Falcons host Georgia in second round of NIT

    The Air Force men's basketball team will host Georgia in the second round of the National Invitational Tournament on Monday, March 19, at 7 p.m. Mountain time in Clune Arena. The game will be televised by ESPNU.

    Air Force, the top seed in the West Region, advanced to the second round following a 75-51 victory over eighth-seeded Austin Peay last night. The win improved Air Force to 24-8 overall and ties the school record for most wins in a season. Fourth-seeded Georgia advanced with an 88-78 home victory over fifth-seeded Fresno State. Georgia improved to 19-13 overall on the year.

    Tickets for Monday's game are on sale now and available by contacting the athletic ticket office at 719-472-1895 or on-line at goairforcefalcons.com. Lower bowl seats are $15 while upper bowl are $12. Cadet tickets are $4.

    The winner of Monday's game advances to the NIT quarterfinals tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, March 21. If Air Force wins Monday, the game will be played at Clune Arena. The start time is to be announced.
