    The Air Force Falcons will host the Austin Peay Governors in the first round of the 2007 Mastercard National Invitation Tournament on Wednesday, March 14. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. (MT) at Clune Arena. The game will be televised nationally by ESPN2.

    The Falcons are the No. 1 seed in the West Region of the 32-team tournament. Air Force finished the 2006-07 regular season with a 23-8 record and tied San Diego State for third place in the Mountain West Conference with a 10-6 record. The Falcons lost to Wyoming, 67-62, in the quarterfinals of the MWC Championships last Thursday in Las Vegas, Nev.

    Austin Peay enters the NIT with a 21-11 overall record. The Governors, who won the Ohio Valley Conference regular season title with a 16-4 record, lost to Eastern Kentucky, 63-62, in the conference tournament final on March 3.

    The winner of the Air Force - Austin Peay game will face the winner of the Georgia - Fresno State game on Monday, March 19. If Air Force defeats Austin peay, the game will be played at Clune Arena.
