Recent ResultsAir Force lost at New Mexico on Monday, 63-52, to fall to 15-9 overall and 6-3 in the MWC, good for sole possession of second place in the conference. The Falcons garnered three votes in this week's ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll. Utah beat Wyoming, 81-72, Monday night in Salt Lake City. The Utes, ranked 13th in the Coaches poll and 14th in the Associated Press poll, are 22-3 overall and lead the MWC at 10-0. CoachesAir Force is coached by Chris Mooney (Princeton, 1994), who is in his first season as a Division I head coach. Mooney has been with the Falcon program for four years, including the last two as the associate head coach. Utah is coached by Ray Giacoletti (Minot State, 1985), who is in his first season as head coach of the Utes. Giacoletti has a career record of 139-86, having previously coached at Eastern Washington (4 years) and North Dakota State (3 years). SeriesUtah leads the series, 41-9. Utah defeated the Falcons, 63-51, earlier this season in Salt Lake City. Air Force swept the Utes for the first time in school history last season. The Falcons claimed a 62-49 victory at Clune Arena, then eaked out a 59-57 win at the Huntsman Center.
