Falcons Travel to Texas to Take on Horned Frogs
Air Force travels to Fort Worth, Texas, to face the TCU Horned Frogs on Wednesday, Feb. 18 in the second of two straight road games for the Falcons. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CT). The Falcons (9-15, 0-11 MWC) dropped their 11th straight conference game and 12th overall on Saturday, falling 74-59 to league-leading Utah in Salt Lake City. TCU (13-12, 4-7 MWC), losers of six straight, fell to BYU, 79-63, Saturday at home.

    Up Next
The Falcons return home to face Colorado State on Saturday, Feb. 21 at Clune Arena. Tip-off is at 4 p.m., and the game will be nationally televised on The Mtn.

    Starting Lineup Shakeup
Air Force head coach Jeff Reynolds changed his starting lineup for the BYU game on Feb. 3. Three freshmen, Brandon Provost, Taylor Stewart and Sammy Schafer, each started the first game of his career against the Cougars. Reynolds changed the lineup again against Utah, starting freshman Shawn Hempsey in place of Provost.

More Than Two Starting Lineups - Very Rare
The new starting lineup against BYU was the third different starting lineup for the Falcons this season. This marks the first time since the 2001-02 campaign that Air Force has had more than two different starting lineups in a single season.

    Struggling at Clune This Season
Air Force has lost seven consecutive home games, something that has not happened since the 1993-94 campaign. In fact, the Falcons have lost more games at Clune Arena this season (8) than the previous five seasons combined (6). Still, since the beginning of the 2003-04 season, Air Force has won 75 of its 89 home games, including 35 of its 46 Mountain West Conference games.

    Three-Point Streak
Air Force has made a three-point shot in 504 consecutive games. The last time the Falcons failed to make a three-pointer was Dec. 4, 1991 in a 57-51 victory over Adams State College. The streak is the third-longest in the MWC behind UNLV (731) and New Mexico (606).

    Henke Moving Up Career Charts
Senior Andrew Henke recently moved into the Top 10 on two career lists at Air Force. He is currently No. 8 on the school's all-time list for three-pointers made with 149 and is tied for seventh with 112 games played.

Falcons Haven't Seen 0-11 in Conference Recently
Air Force fell to 0-11 in MWC play on Wednesday against New Mexico. It is the first time since the 1993-94 campaign that Air Force lost its first 11 conference games. Overall, AFA's 12-game losing streak is the longest since the 1995-96 season.

Henke and Holland Top 5 in Career 3-Point Pct.
Seniors Matt Holland and Andrew Henke are No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, on Air Force's career list for three-point percentage. Holland is shooting 42.1 percent, while Henke is shooting 41.2 percent. Holland is 57-of-128 (44.5%) this season, which is No. 2 in the Mountain West Conference, while Henke is No. 5 at 40.5% (49-121).

    Freshmen Playing Career-High Minutes Lately
Freshmen Brandon Provost and Shawn Hempsey each played a career-high number of minutes on Feb. 3 against BYU. Provost, who started the first game of his career, played 27 minutes, while Hempsey, who started his first career game at Utah on Saturday, had career-highs of four points and three rebounds in 23 minutes vs. BYU. Jon Atkins played a career-high 21 minutes on Jan. 10 at UNM while Sammy Schafer, who also started the first game of his career vs. BYU, played a career-high of 26 minutes at San Diego St. and vs. UNM.

    Stewart Makes Immediate Impact
Taylor Stewart became the first Air Force freshman to record a double-double since 2000 when he scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against CSU Bakersfield on Nov. 16. Tom Bellairs was the last freshman to have a double-double in his first season at Air Force and he had eight of them during the 1999-2000 campaign. Stewart is also the first Falcon freshman to score in double figures in his first three collegiate games since David Schuck during the 1997-98 campaign.

Falcons Shooting Better, But So Are Opponents
For just the second time this season, Air Force shot 50 percent or better from the field in consecutive games. The Falcons shot 52.4 percent against New Mexico last Wednesday, then hit 50 percent on Saturday at Utah. Unfortunately for Air Force, the Lobos (55%) and Utes (62.5%) each shot a then season-best against AFA. They were the first two league games Air Force hit the 50 percent mark this season and only twice has another MWC opponent hit the mark (New Mexico, 54.3%; Colorado State, 51.3%).

Falcons Finally Lose When Shooting Well From 3
On Jan. 17 against TCU, Air Force lost for the first time this season when shooting better than 33.3 percent from three-point range. The Falcons shot 38.5 percent (5-13) from behind the arc against the Horned Frogs. Air Force also surpassed the mark at Colorado State (39.1%), at home against New Mexico (47.4%) and at Utah (56.3%) but ended up losing and is 9-4 when eclipsing 33.3%. Conversely, Air Force is 0-11 when it shoots 33.3 percent or less from long range.

Parker Puts Up Career-High at Utah
Junior Grant Parker is making the most of his playing time this season. After playing in just 14 games his first two seasons at Air Force, he has appeared in all 24 this season and has started four of them, including the first of his career on Jan. 17 against TCU.
Parker, who scored a career-high 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting (4-of-5 from 3-point range) at Utah on Saturday, is averaging 6.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per contest in `08-09. Parker grabbed a career-best nine rebounds against CSU Bakersfield and Northern Illinois.
