    Falcons Host 24th-ranked Colorado State on Saturday
     The Air Force men’s basketball team plays its sixth ranked team this season when it hosts the No. 24 Colorado State Rams at Clune Arena on Saturday, Feb. 16. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m., and the game will be televised on Altitude Sports. Air Force improved to 15-8 and 6-4 in the Mountain West after a 71-56 victory over UNLV at home on Wednesday. Colorado State improved to 20-4 overall and 7-2 in the league following a 66-60 victory over San Diego State at home on Wednesday. CSU is second in the Mountain West, while the Falcons are tied for third with San Diego State.

    6-4 Ties Third-Best Start Ever in League Play
     Air Force’s 6-4 record in the Mountain West ties the third-best start ever in program history after 10 league games. The Falcons have been 9-1 once in the past (2003-04), 7-3 once (2006-07) and this is the third time at 6-4 (2004-05 and ‘05-06).

    Six League Wins a Rarity
     With its 71-56 victory over UNLV on Feb. 13, this is just the eighth season since Air Force joined a conference in 1980-81 that it has won at least six conference games.

    Air Force Gets Third Win Ever Against Ranked Teams
     With its 70-67 victory over #22/20 San Diego State on Feb. 2, Air Force improved to 3-78 against ranked opponents in program history. Air Force has faced five ranked teams this season, including the 81-58 loss to #15/16 New Mexico on Wednesday. The two previous victories in program history came against No. 21 UTEP (75-72) on Feb. 15, 1992 and No. 13 San Diego State (58-56) on Feb. 18, 2012. 

    All Eight Losses to Winning Teams
     The eight teams that have defeated Air Force this season have a combined 142-53 record (.728 winning percentage). New Mexico is 21-4, Wichita State is 21-5, Florida is 20-3, Colorado State is 20-4, UNLV is 18-7, Colorado is 16-7, Richmond is 14-11 and Nevada is 12-12. New Mexico, Colorado, Florida, UNLV, Wichita State and Colorado State have all been in the Top 25 this season.
