COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Corey Hawkins scored 22 points, Josh Fox added 19 more and UC Davis pulled away with a 16-2 run in the second half for an 81-75 win over Air Force on Saturday.
Josh Ritchart and Neal Monson contributed 10 points apiece for the Aggies (8-1), who shot 52.1 percent from the floor and hit 25 of 28 from the free throw line. Hawkins also had six rebounds and three assists.
Air Force (6-4) briefly took the lead with a bucket from Kamryn Williams that made it 53-52 with 8:08 to go. But UC Davis responded with the 16-2 run that included three straight buckets and a free throw from Fox, building a lead that wasn't challenged down the stretch.
Trevor Lyons led the Falcons with 18 points, Williams adding 17 and 14 rebounds.
UC Davis is one win away from posting its best start in the program's 104-year history.
