Air Force defeated Robert Morris, 64-52, Sunday afternoon in a non-conference game in Clune Arena. Hayden Graham recorded his second double-double of the season and fifth of his career with 16 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. He also added a career-high eight assists and four steals in 38 minutes.
The Falcons broke open a close game with a 14-2 to take a 55-41 lead with 4:18 left and were never seriously threatened after that. Ryan Manning helped key the run with six points, as he finished with a career-high 11 points and five rebounds. Zach Moer added six points in the run and finished with career highs of 12 points and seven rebounds. Trevor Lyons chipped in with 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and a career-high four steals.
The Falcons hit just 37.9 percent from the field, but hit 51.6 percent in the second half, and out-rebounded their first opponent of the season, 47-36, and forced 17 Robert Morris turnovers. The Falcons also hit 11 of 13 free throws and assisted on 16 of 25 field goals.
Robert Morris was led by Rodney Porter, who scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Elijah Minnie chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds. Robert Morris hit just 33.9 percent from the field, including a 28.6 clip from 3-point range.
Air Force improves to 3-1 this season, including a 3-0 mark at home and in the Air Force Classic, an exempt event featuring four home games. Robert Morris fell to 0-4.
