USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force baseball team concludes its 2011 fall practice schedule with the annual Blue-White Series at Falcon Field. The three-game series begins Friday, Oct. 14 and runs through Sunday Oct. 16. First pitch Friday is 3 p.m. Admission is free and food will be available for all fans in attendance.

Game two on Saturday and game three on Sunday will both start at 12 p.m. The Blue team will be coached by assistant coach Toby Bicknell, while the White team will be coached by assistant coach Mark Crocco.

"The Fall portion of our season will be wrapping up with our annual Blue/White Series," Falcon baseball head coach Mike Kazlausky said. "There has already been a lot of talk in our clubhouse on which team will take the series. I am excited to see our boys in action and to be playing for bragging rights and for all of us to end the Fall on a high note. Coach Bicknell believes that he has the better talent, and coach Crocco believes that he has the better chemistry and that the White Team will `grind' it out. I look forward to watching the action on the field this upcoming weekend. The weather will be great and we will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers for all that will be in attendance."

In 2010, the White team won games one and three, while tying game two.

Air Force returns 26 players from the 2011 team, including seven starters and all three of its weekend starting pitchers. The Falcons welcome 11 newcomers to the 2012 squad.

Air Force is slated to open the 2012 regular season Feb. 17, against Alcorn State and LSU at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, La.
