Falcon Baseball To Host Alumni Game Sept. 25

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force baseball will host an Alumni game on Saturday, Sept. 25, at Falcon Field. The game will be dedicated to the Falcon baseball players from the 1960's. First pitch for the Alumni game is slated for 11 a.m. Over 40 former Falcon baseball players have already committed to attend the event. The 60's featured the first full decade of Falcon baseball (program's first varsity season was 1957). Air Force baseball produced eight winning season's in the 1960's, including a .593 winning percentage. Both are program high's. Falcon baseball reached the postseason six times in the 60's, the most of any decade. The 1964 team went 22-5 to finish with an .815 winning percentage, the best in program history. The Falcons also led the nation in hitting three times during the 60's (.330 in 1962, .328 in 1963 and .337 in 1964).
