Five Falcons Named Academic All-Conference

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Five student-athletes from the Air Force baseball team earned Mountain West Conference Academic All-Conference honors announced by the conference office.

Senior Josh Meents earned his third and sophomore Tyler McBride earned his second all-conference honors. Senior Jake Allen and freshmen Nathan Carter and Vai Schierholtz earned their first honor.

Meents recently graduated with a 3.33 grade-point average and a degree in Operations Research. Allen graduated with a 3.25 GPA and a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

McBride posted a 3.12 GPA, Carter a 3.02 mark and Schierholtz a 3.05 average. All three are Systems Engineering Management majors.

The five academic all-conference selections are the most since the 2003 team placed five on the all-academic team.
