Tyler Jones named Northwoods League Player of the Day

Air Force rising sophomore Tyler Jones was named Northwoods League Player of the Day for games played on Wednesday, May 28. Jones led the Eau Claire Express to a pair of wins.

An All-Mountain West Outfielder during his freshman campaign at Air Force, Jones went 2-for-6 with two walks and three RBIs combined on the day. In game one, the Coppell, Texas, native went 2-for-3 with a walk in the Express' 5-2 win. Jones went 0-for-3 with a walk and RBI in game two, a 3-2 win for Eau Claire.

Jones is one of two Falcons playing for the Eau Claire Express. Rising senior catcher/RHP Brian Sicher is also a teammate with the express.

The Northwoods League is a collegiate summer baseball league comprising teams of the top college players from North America and beyond. All players in the league must have NCAA eligibility remaining in order to participate. Players are not paid, so as to maintain their college eligibility.
