Senior righthander Cameron White of Air Force baseball earned Air Force Athletics co-Athlete of the Week honors for games played during the week of April 7-13. White started a pair of games for the Falcons last week, which led to wins.
White started games against Northern Colorado and South Dakota State last week. The senior pitched one inning at UNC in a tuneup for the weekend. The Falcons went ahead to win that game 13-5.
On Friday, White struck out 14 batters over 8.1 innings to lead Air Force to a 2-1 win at South Dakota State. The Colleyville, Texas, native held the Jackrabbits to one run off five hits. His 14 strikeouts were the fourth-most ever in a game in Air Force history and the most in 31 years, dating back to 1983.
White earns Air Force's third AFA AOW award for the baseball program. Freshman Griffin Jax had earned the previous two.
