    Air Force junior third baseman Bowie Frost was named the Mountain West Conference player of the week as Air Force took two of three from UNLV, April 5-7, at Falcon Field.

    Frost, from Lamar, Colo. (Lamar HS), went 8-for-14 (.571) in three games against the Rebels last week. In the first contest, Frost was 2-for-5 with a double in the Falcons' 7-6 victory. In game two, he was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI as Air Force posted an 8-5 win. In the series finale, Frost extended his hitting streak to a career-best 12 games with a 4-for-5 performance in a loss to the Rebels, including a home run and an RBI. The MWC leader with a .414 batting average this season, Frost also played error free in 12 chances from third base.

    Air Force, 17-17 overall and tied for third in the MWC with a 5-7 record, hosts Colorado Mines Wednesday, April 10, at Falcon Field. The Falcons return to MWC play with a three-game series vs. Utah, April 12-13, in Salt Lake City.
