Air Force-BYU Series Moved To Security Service Field
March 14, 2006 USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - In an effort to promote collegiate baseball and strengthen ties to the community, the Air Force baseball team has moved its three-game series, from March 27-29, with Brigham Young University to Security Service Field in Colorado Springs. Security Service Field is home to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.
Game times for the series, originally slated to be played at Falcon Field at the Academy, remains the same. First pitch for the Thursday (27th) and Friday (28th) games between the Falcons and Cougars will be at 2 p.m. Saturday's game (29th) begins at noon.
Security Service Field was opened in 1988 and has a seating capacity of 8,500 for baseball games. The Falcons have played five times at Security Service Field, all exhibition games against the Sky Sox.
