    Air Force returns 15 letterwinners, including three starters on the field. The Falcons return seven pitchers, including two weekend starters.

    The Falcons top returning hitter is senior first baseman Seth Kline. Kline is a two-time All-Mountain West player who’s led the team in hitting the last two seasons.

    Senior righthander Cameron White is the Falcons ace. White tossed 107 innings as a junior, the second highest total in school history.

    Who’s Gone
    The Falcons lost six starters and one starting pitcher off the 2013 team. The Falcons will look to replace three four-year starters and two all-conference players in senior catcher Garrett Custons and senior outfielder David Baska. Custons was a 10th round draft pick of the Toronto Blue Jays. The Falcons also lost starters at shortstop in Matt Thorne, second base in Matthew Roberts and outfielder Alex Bast.

    Who’s New
    Air Force welcomes 15 newcomers to the team, including nine pitchers. Air Force’s rookie class is headlined by freshman RHP/IF Griffin Jax. The Greenwood Village, Colo., native and Cherry Creek High School grad. was a 12th round draft pick by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2013 MLB draft.

    The Falcons lost to Texas State, 9-4, in their first meeting on Feb. 20, 2011. Senior Seth Kline is the lone returning Falcon to play in the game, going 0-for-3 at the plate.

    Youngest Team in Mountain West
    With 14 freshmen and 15 total newcomers, Air Force features one of youngest teams in the conference. The Falcons are tied with Fresno State and San José State for the most freshmen on its roster.

    White One of NCAA’s Most Accurate
    Senior righthander Cameron White was one of the most accurate pitchers in the NCAA last season. The Colleyville, Texas, native ranked in the NCAA Top 10 in walks per nine innings (5th - 0.76) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (6th - 7.78). White walked just nine batters in 107 innings pitched, while striking out 72,

    All Div. I Slate
    Air Force’s 2013 schedule is entirely vs. Div. I baseball teams for only the fourth time ever in the programs’ 58 year history. The other seasons were 2005, 2011 and 2013.

    Road Warriors
    Air Force is slated to play 21 of its first 24 games on the road, opening with a nine-game road swing. Air Force started the 2012 and 2013 seasons with 18 straight games on the road.

    Falcons With Several Two-Sport Players
    Air Force features three players on its roster that were also part of the football program. Sophomore outfielder Adam Blankenship and freshman catcher Western Steelhammer were members of the Falcon football team. Blankenship was a running back that did not appear in any games. Steelhammer was a linebacker that finished the season as the backup free safety on the two-deep depth chart. Steelhammer had seven tackles in eight games. Senior first baseman Seth Kline was a football player as a freshman, playing linebacker. Last season, center fielder David Baska was also the punter on the Falcon football team.

    Falcons and 2013 MLB Draft
    Air Force freshman RHP/IF Griffin Jax was a 12th round pick of the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2013 MLB Draft as a senior at Cherry Creek High School in Greewood Village Colo. 2013 graduate catcher Garrett Custons was a 10th round draft pick of the Toronto Blue Jays in the draft as well.
