Air Force Falls To Northern Colorado Tuesday

GREELEY, Colo. - Air Force baseball team dropped a 26-9 ballgame at Northern Colorado Tuesday afternoon at Jackson Field. The loss dropped the Falcons to 11-34 while the Bears improved to 21-21. Tyler Borzileri set a school record for hits, going 7-for-7 for UNC. Northern Colorado racked up 32 hits in the game and committed five errors. Three players had three hits and two had four. The Bears scored in every inning, including multiple runs six times. Air Force had 13 hits in the game. K.J. Randhawa led the way, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases. Matt Alexander, Nathan Carter and Matthew Roberts had two hits each for the Falcons. All three of Air Force's extra-base hits were triples. Nathan Carter hit his 10th triple of the season and Garrett Custons and Blair Roberts also hit three-baggers. Blair Roberts also drove in three runs and Addison Gentry scored two runs. Forbes Scott (1-2) picked up the win with three predetermined innings in the start. Ben Bertelson (0-1) took the loss for the Falcons, pitching 2.1 innings in the start. Todd Del Toro, Andrew Loyd, Jack Hourin and Alex Lerda-Plog also pitched in relief. Air Force returns to action Friday, May 7, at San Diego State. First pitch is 6 p.m. PST.
