Air Force Drops 4-1 Ballgame at UNLV Friday

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Air Force baseball dropped a 4-1 ballgame at UNLV Friday night at Earl E. Wilson Stadium. The Falcons dropped to 9-26, 3-10 and the Rebels improved to 18-21, 3-10.
UNLV starting pitcher Erick Fedde (4-3) held the Falcons to one run off seven hits in seven innings pitched. Fedde struck out nine. Rebel closer Zack Hartman pitched two scoreless innings for his fifth save of the season.
Air Force had seven hits in the game. Rightfielder Jake Schomaker led the Falcons, going 2-for-4 at the plate scoring the lone run.
UNLV had eight hits in the game. Trent Cook and Trevor Kirk had two hits each for the Rebels.
UNLV scored two runs in the third and fourth innings to jump ahead 4-0. The Falcons rallied with a run in the sixth.
Game two of the three game series is tomorrow.
