Air Force Falls to TCU Saturday, 6-1

    FORT WORTH, Texas - Air Force baseball dropped a 6-1 ball game at TCU Saturday afternoon at Lupton Stadium. The Falcons fell to 8-24, 3-8 and the Horned Frogs improved to 19-13, 8-3.

    TCU starting pitcher Preston Morrison (5-0) held the Falcons to one run over 6.1 innings pitched to pick up the win.

    Air Force had four hits in the game. Blair Roberts, Noah Pierce, Brian Sicher and Ryan Kramer had base hits for the Falcons. David Thomas scored the Falcons run in the seventh with Kramer collecting the RBI.

    Falcon starting pitcher Ben Bertelson (0-7) took the loss, allowing four runs in four innings pitched. Matt Zettler, Alex Baker, Jack Hourin and Ben Yokley pitched in relief.

    TCU had nine hits in the game. Catcher Josh Elander led the Horned Frogs at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a run scored.

    The Frogs scored three in the first, one in the fourth and two in the fifth to jump ahead 6-0. The Falcons rallied with a run in the seventh.

     

     

    Game three of the three-game series is tomorrow at 1 p.m. CST.
